Knits and Boots and Jeans – Oh my!

A basic fall outfit usually consists of 3 things – boots, sweaters and chunky layers! A few of my very favourite things… It’s kind of like the “kitchen sink” of style only more chic add ons. Starting with a few wardrobe basics like tanks, tees, bodysuits or henley’s; paired with jeans, leggings, trousers, skirts and piling on your favourite layers. Oversized knits, distressed denim jackets, cardigans and puffer coats, sweaters or a pea coat…..

The options are truly endless and you can’t really go wrong can you.

Lately it’s all about cardigans, tanks and high waisted jeans for me….’Groundbreaking’ ( I know…) but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Just because the formula doesn’t change doesn’t mean you can’t upgrade your pieces. Cardigans have become lush, thick and full. Boots are chunky – heels and wedges. Tanks are now ribbed, bodysuited and textured. The staples of our closets have become so much more versatile. Only making it even more fun to mix outfits for versatility, comfort and style, basics aren’t so..well, basic. The right layers can take an outfit from summer to fall. Winter to spring. They can take an outfit from day to night and elevate a simple look from easy to elevated.
